Ferndale
The term Transformations really captures the essence of this renovation.
This home hadn’t been lived in for three years and with the garden overgrown and the interior full of three years of dust we set about renovating. Our brief was to return the home to its former glory. The home is one of Ferndale’s first and the owner really wanted to capture its character while incorporating a contemporary feel.
With this scale of renovation you never quite know what to expect and this project didn’t let us down with it’s fair share of surprises. A car jack supporting a roof truss, dodgy electrics and a neighbour that liked to pinch newly bedded plants all added to the challenge of this renovation, but our team loves a challenge and I just loved seeing this home transformed.
This project took us four weeks and incorporated major earthworks, roof recoating with new gutters and downpipes, paving and extension of the existing concreted area and a complete garden makeover. Inside the renovations were just as considerable with a new bathroom, new kitchen bench top, doors and cupboards, a coat of paint that covered the dusky pink walls and the addition of so much more natural light achieved through the removal of overgrown garden and a coat of paint.
